The Fire Chief is the chief executive officer of the Fire District, agent for the Board of Directors, and administrative and operational head of the Fire District. The Fire Chief performs a variety of technical, administrative, and supervisory work in planning, organizing, directing, and implementing fire prevention, suppression and organization during emergency incidents to prevent or minimize the loss of life and property due to fire and other emergency situations. Performance of these functions has significant financial, professional image and operational impacts upon the District that requires the Fire Chief to use a high degree of judgment and tact in the execution of these essential functions.
